We need the heartbreaks in our lives- the difficult times, the gut-wrenching pain; with each experience, we discover things about ourselves- we become more self-aware and alive. We learn to change, and we learn to survive.
Maybe rejection is worse than not knowing, because at least if you don’t know for sure, there is still a chance.
